Aboca names Jan Linnemann as Germany's new Country Manager to drive growth
Aboca, an Italian producer of natural health products, has appointed Jan Linnemann as its new Country Manager for Germany. The company, known for its in-house research and sustainable practices, aims to expand its presence in the German market under his leadership. Linnemann took on the role in mid-January after a career spanning senior positions in the healthcare sector.
Founded in 1978, Aboca operates from a Tuscan town and maintains full control over its supply chain. The business grows around 70 medicinal plants across 1,200 hectares of land. It also handles all development, research, and production stages internally, employing roughly 1,800 people.
Aboca entered the German market in 2016 with the launch of its subsidiary, Aboca Deutschland GmbH. Since then, the company has steadily increased its revenue, growing from a niche player to a market leader. By 2025, annual sales in Germany are projected to exceed €20 million, driven by wider distribution and new product lines. Linnemann brings extensive experience to the position. He spent over 14 years at Medice in senior management before working as an independent consultant. Most recently, he served as the fourth managing director at Quiris, where he led marketing and sales for a year. As a certified Benefit Corporation under Italian law, Aboca balances profit with social and environmental responsibility. The company's commitment to sustainability aligns with its long-term growth strategy in Germany.
Linnemann's appointment marks a new phase for Aboca's German operations. The company's focus on natural health solutions and ethical business practices has already strengthened its market position. With plans to expand further, Aboca aims to solidify its role as a key player in the sector.
