Primorye Territory unveils 14 new outdoor sports facilities by September

The Primorye Territory is expanding its outdoor sports facilities with a total of 14 new sites set to open by September 1. Governor Oleg Kozhemyako highlighted the project as part of a broader push for accessible mass sports infrastructure. The first of these facilities was unveiled in May, marking the start of a wider rollout across the region. Vladivostok will receive eight of the new fitness zones, including locations in Patrokl, the FEFU campus, and an upgraded pedestrian promenade on Kirov Street. Additional sites will be built in Artyom, Ussuriysk, and Nakhodka. These facilities will be placed in both residential areas and busy urban spaces for easy access.

The equipment is built to withstand harsh climates, featuring anti-corrosion coatings and adjustable resistance systems. It combines durability with modern design and ergonomics to suit all fitness levels. Governor Kozhemyako stressed that the facilities are inclusive, catering to people with disabilities as well as the general public.

Sberbank’s Primorsky Branch, led by Sergey Yurchenko, is a key financial partner in the project. The bank supports the region’s housing and social infrastructure development, contributing to the expansion of these public amenities. By September, the Primorye Territory will have 14 outdoor sports facilities in operation. These new spaces aim to provide durable, accessible workout options for residents across multiple cities. The initiative aligns with the governor’s priority of improving mass sports infrastructure for all citizens.
