Climate-Friendly Cooking - Practical Course

Neuwied's Free Course Teaches Climate-Friendly Cooking with Local Ingredients

Neuwied District Adult Education Center will host a course on climate-friendly cooking. The session, titled 'Climate-Friendly Cooking', takes place on October 16 at the ASL in Linkenbach. It begins at 5 p.m. and is open to all interested participants. Brigitte Lange, a qualified nutrition and home economics specialist, will lead the course. She will be joined by Janine Sieben, the district’s climate protection manager. Together, they will guide attendees through practical ways to make cooking more sustainable.

The course will focus on using regional and seasonal ingredients. Participants will learn to reduce meat and fish consumption while preparing quick, energy-efficient meals. Simple, tasty, and varied recipes with natural ingredients will be demonstrated.

There is no cost for the course itself. However, a €7 fee for ingredients will be collected by Brigitte Lange during the session. The course aims to help participants adopt sustainable habits in their daily kitchen routines. It will provide hands-on experience with methods that save time, energy, and resources. Registration details are available through the Neuwied District Adult Education Center.
