A New Health Center Opens in the Sovietsky District of Nizhny Novgorod

Nizhny Novgorod expands free health screenings with second center launch

Nizhny Novgorod has opened its second Health Center this year. The latest facility is now operational at City Polyclinic No. 30 in the Sovetskiy District. It follows the first center, which launched in late May at Polyclinic No. 4 in the Kanavinsky District. The new Health Center at Polyclinic No. 30 provides free screenings under compulsory health insurance. These include lung and vascular checks, body composition analysis, and skin cancer screenings. After the examinations, specialists offer personalised advice on diet, exercise, and disease prevention.

The center also runs programmes to evaluate risks linked to premature ageing and chronic conditions. Yury Balashov, a regional lawmaker, was among the first to use the new services. The expansion of preventive medicine in the region continues. The next planned step is the opening of a Healthy Longevity Center in Nizhny Novgorod. Residents now have greater access to early health assessments and tailored guidance.
