Hiker seriously injured after falling at Sochi's Agura Waterfalls

A 38-year-old man from Sochi was injured after falling at Agura Waterfalls. The accident happened while he was jumping between rocks with a companion. Both ended up on the ground, with the second man landing on top of the first. The incident took place near the lower Agura Waterfall. Rescuers located the hikers and transported the injured man on a stretcher to Kavkazsky Aul. This marks the ninth rescue operation in Agura Gorge so far this year.

Authorities advise hikers to prepare thoroughly before heading out. They recommend studying trail routes, downloading offline maps, and reviewing elevation changes. Carrying a fully charged phone, a power bank, sturdy footwear, a first-aid kit, warm clothing, and snacks is also strongly encouraged. In emergencies, the public can contact rescue services by dialling 112 or +7 (862) 268-03-03. The injured hiker received assistance and was taken to safety. Officials continue to urge caution in the area.
