Bonnie Tyler in serious condition after five weeks in coma

Singer Bonnie Tyler remains in a serious condition in a Portuguese hospital. She underwent intestinal surgery in Faro in late April. Her health has since required ongoing intensive care. Tyler was admitted to hospital for the procedure at the end of April. A week later, doctors placed her in a medically induced coma. She stayed in this state for more than five weeks before regaining consciousness.

Her team has now cancelled or postponed all her scheduled summer performances. The shows will not take place until at least next year. The artist is still receiving treatment in the intensive care unit. Her recovery continues under close medical supervision. All planned concerts for this summer have been moved to 2025.
