CU Hires Virtual Primary Care Providers for Hybrid Patient Support
The University of Colorado is offering a new position for an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) within its Virtual Primary Care Practice. The role involves delivering full-spectrum virtual care to adult patients, including chronic disease management and urgent care. The Division of General Internal Medicine, founded in 1977, oversees this position. The APP will evaluate, diagnose, prescribe, and educate patients about their conditions. They will also complete thorough histories and assessments, ensuring accurate documentation in medical records.
The role is primarily virtual but may include some in-clinic primary care in the Denver Metro area, depending on practice needs. The APP will collaborate with other departments, such as the pharmacy, to optimise patient care through telehealth.
This is an open-rank position, with the title of Instructor or Senior Instructor determined by experience and qualifications. The university offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, retirement, paid time off, and tuition benefits. The Virtual Primary Care Practice supports CU primary care clinics with same-day virtual appointments. It provides a primarily virtual experience for empaneled patients. The APP will ensure high-quality primary care, addressing both acute and chronic health needs.
