Alongside this, a Central Sterile Services Department was set up at the same hospital to reduce infection risks. A Human Milk Bank was also established to aid premature and critically ill newborns in the region.
Additional inaugurations included a Modular Mortuary and a Hospital Bed Availability Dashboard at Vashi Public Hospital. At the same event, Cath Labs at Vashi and Airoli hospitals were launched, alongside dialysis centres in CBD Belapur and Juinagar, which were inaugurated virtually.
Construction is currently underway for an Advanced Bi-Plane Cath Lab at Vashi Public Hospital and a Single-Plane Cath Lab at Airoli Public Hospital.
