Moscow Region's New Mega-Hospital Nears Completion for 2028 Opening
A major new hospital has been completed in Balashikha, part of the Moscow Region. The facility will serve nearly 2 million residents once it opens in 2028. Construction crews are now focusing on interior finishing work. Work on the multidisciplinary hospital began in March 2024. So far, 46% of the project has been finished. The complex will include an 1,100-bed inpatient department and a diagnostic centre able to handle 300 patient visits per shift.
The hospital will also feature a helipad for emergency air transfers. Over 3,000 medical staff are expected to work there. When fully operational, it will provide care across 26 different specialties. The new facility is set to become one of the largest healthcare centres in the region. Its opening in 2028 will expand access to medical services for local residents. The hospital’s advanced infrastructure aims to improve treatment efficiency and emergency response times.
