NESTLÉ Philippines revives Wellness Campus to nurture healthier young learners

NESTLÉ Philippines has relaunched its Wellness Campus program in partnership with the Department of Education (DepEd). The initiative was officially reintroduced on June 17, 2026, aiming to promote healthy habits among young learners. It will run until April 30, 2027, and targets public school students aged 7 to 17 across nine regions in the country. The program focuses on building long-term healthy lifestyles through three main components. These include nutrition education, the Nestlé Wellness Campus Dancercise program, and various competitions that encourage healthy living. Activities such as the Best Implementing School, Hataw Sayaw dance contest, Sarap Sustansya cook-off, and Wellness Dance Masters contest offer cash prizes to winners.

The initiative covers Grades 1 to 10 and has already shown positive results in the Davao region. It has helped improve balanced nutrition and school performance among students. Charisma Sy, the program lead, stated that it supports holistic well-being, including mental health, and aligns with DepEd’s MATATAG curriculum.

DepEd Davao regional director Allan Farnazo emphasised the link between nutrition, health, and student learning. Pat Goc-ong, president of White Charcoal Management Inc., noted that the program turns nutrition education into engaging school activities. The Wellness Campus program seeks to foster healthier communities and stronger learning outcomes. It combines education, physical activity, and competitions to encourage lasting healthy habits. The partnership between NESTLÉ Philippines and DepEd underscores a shared commitment to student well-being.
