Gifhorn's Addiction Services Task Force Hosts Free Awareness Event July 1

The Addiction Services Task Force will host an information day on July 1, 2023, in Gifhorn. The event aims to raise awareness during Alcohol Awareness Week and invites the public to engage with addiction support services. It will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Addiction and Drug Counseling Center. The event takes place at Steinweg 10, near the market square in Gifhorn. An information booth will be positioned outside the counselling centre’s entrance. Visitors can explore the wide range of addiction support services available in the district there.

Inside the centre, short films about various addiction disorders will be shown. Alcohol-free cocktails will also be served during the event.

The task force encourages attendance from individuals affected by addiction, their families, partner organisations, and interested citizens. Organisers hope to create an open space for discussion and connection. The information day offers a chance to learn about local addiction services. It also provides an opportunity for dialogue and community engagement. The event is part of broader efforts to support those impacted by addiction in the district.
