Halle's 'Future of Inclusion' Conference Aims to Shape Policy in 2026

The 3rd Participation Conference, titled 'Future of Inclusion', is set to take place in Halle (Saale) on Wednesday, June 24, 2026. The event aims to foster discussions on building a more inclusive society. Admission will be free for all attendees. The conference will run from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Ulrichskirche Concert Hall. Over 30 exhibitors will feature in a 'Marketplace of Opportunities', offering attendees a chance to explore various resources and initiatives.

Attendees will have the opportunity to share their ideas for the future of inclusion on moderation boards. The venue is fully accessible, with wheelchair-friendly areas, barrier-free restrooms, and designated wheelchair spaces. Services for those with hearing impairments, including DGS interpretation and hearing loops, will also be available.

Katharina Brederlow, Deputy Mayor for Education and Social Affairs in Halle, has expressed her delight at the city hosting the event. Dr. Christian Walbrach will later present the conference outcomes to the future state government of Saxony-Anhalt. The event will conclude with a summary of discussions and proposals. These results will be formally submitted to the state government. The conference organisers hope to inspire actionable steps towards a more inclusive future.
