Canadian HSE now offers a range of Red Cross-certified training courses across Ontario. These programmes help workplaces meet safety standards and prepare staff for emergencies. Each certification targets different roles and levels of care. Red Cross First Aid & CPR AED serves as the standard certification for most employees. It covers essential skills like handling cardiac arrest, choking, severe bleeding, fractures, and shock. The course also includes training on Automated External Defibrillator use and meets Ontario’s WSIB baseline requirements for general workplaces.

For roles demanding a higher level of care, Basic Life Support provides advanced training. It goes beyond standard first aid by teaching two-rescuer CPR, deeper resuscitation techniques, and team response skills. This certification suits healthcare-adjacent staff, personal support workers, and early childhood educators.

The Psychological First Aid Online Course addresses the emotional impact of workplace trauma. It supports colleagues and responders after distressing events. Employers are advised to include it in their emergency preparedness plans.

Canadian HSE also delivers two specialised streams: Caring for Others for managers and safety personnel, and Self-Care for first aiders and emergency coordinators. These ensure staff receive role-specific training to handle their responsibilities effectively. Employers must select the correct certification for each role to comply with regulations. Proper training reduces legal risks and ensures a swift, effective response to workplace incidents. Canadian HSE provides these courses as an authorised Red Cross partner in Ontario.
