Tukalinsk Hospital's Financial Crisis Deepens Under New Leadership

Tukalinsk Central District Hospital has faced repeated financial and legal challenges in recent years. In May 2025, Margarita Berezina took over as chief physician, stepping into a role shadowed by ongoing disputes and debt. Legal action against the hospital’s former chief physician began in October 2025. The charges involved abuse of office, with alleged damages nearing 800,000 rubles. Berezina’s appointment came just months before these proceedings were announced.

By June 2026, the hospital’s financial troubles deepened. Five lawsuits totalling over 2.26 million rubles were filed in the Omsk Oblast Arbitration Court that month alone. On 22 June 2026, enforcement proceedings were initiated, with the Interdistrict Tax Inspectorate No. 1 for Omsk Oblast listed as the creditor. The debt stemmed from a tax linked to the negative balance of the Unified Tax Account.

Earlier enforcement cases in 2025–2026 had involved smaller sums, none exceeding 100,000 rubles. Yet the latest claim against the hospital has now surpassed 12.07 million rubles. The hospital remains under significant financial pressure. Enforcement proceedings and multiple lawsuits point to unresolved fiscal obligations. Legal action against its former leader adds to the institution’s ongoing difficulties.
