Almaty mother welcomes rare natural triplets after emergency birth

A woman in Almaty has given birth to triplets naturally, without fertility treatments. The babies—two boys and a girl—were delivered safely at the city's Perinatal Center on February 3, 2026. The mother, who already had three children, now has a family of six.

The triplets arrived prematurely at 32 weeks, weighing 1,840 grams, 1,680 grams, and 1,620 grams. Doctors classified the birth as an emergency, assembling a full medical team to ensure a safe delivery. The Almaty City Perinatal Center, which handled over 9,000 births last year, specialises in complex and preterm cases.

After birth, the infants were placed under round-the-clock observation in a dedicated neonatal station. Medical staff provided constant support, monitoring their progress closely. The babies are now gaining weight steadily, and their condition remains stable.

The mother named the triplets Zangar, Aibar, and Asel. All three were born healthy, thanks to the coordinated efforts of the centre's specialists. The family is expected to take the newborns home soon.

The successful delivery adds to the centre's record of handling high-risk births. Last year alone, the facility managed two other sets of triplets among its cases. The triplets' stable condition and upcoming discharge mark a positive outcome for the medical team and the growing family.
