Diabetes awareness event unites 200+ trainees with free screenings and expert talks

A Diabetes awareness session organised by the Student Affairs Deanship brought together over 200 trainees, staff, and faculty members. The event featured educational booths, free medical screenings, and interactive activities aimed at promoting healthier lifestyles. Lulu Hypermarket took part in the session, showcasing a range of diabetes-friendly products. Attendees sampled sugar-free, low-glycemic alternatives designed for daily nutrition and diabetes management.

Ms. Zahraa Rahma from the Dasman Diabetes Institute delivered a lecture titled *Diabetes Under Control*. The talk focused on prevention, early detection, and effective management of the condition. More than 15 organisations joined the event, including government agencies, private companies, and non-profits. Their participation contributed to a lively atmosphere filled with learning and community engagement.

The session provided practical knowledge on diabetes care and healthy living. Free screenings and product tastings gave attendees hands-on experience with preventive measures. Organisers aimed to leave participants better informed about managing the condition in their daily lives.
