Emplify Health Earns Gold as Top Family-Friendly Employer in Four States
Emplify Health has become the largest employer to earn gold-level certification as a Family Dollar Friendly Workplace. The not-for-profit healthcare network, which employs 16,000 people across four states, was recognised for its commitment to supporting employees' work-life balance. The certification highlights policies like flexible working, parental leave, and family-focused benefits.
The Family Dollar Friendly Workplace programme assesses companies on their support for staff well-being. Emplify Health stood out for its healthcare benefits, flexible schedules, and family support initiatives. As part of its community focus, the organisation also donates annually to nonprofits aiding families—this year choosing The Parenting Place in La Crosse and Encompass Early Education and Care in Green Bay.
Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers and Green Bay Mayor Eric Genrich attended events celebrating the achievement. Emplify Health now joins 71 certified employers covering over 24,000 workers, though no certified firms appear in Minnesota, Upper Michigan, or Iowa under the same programme. The certification allows Emplify Health to display the programme's logo and access additional benefits.
Based in Green Bay and La Crosse, Emplify Health operates 11 hospitals and over 100 clinics across Wisconsin, Minnesota, Upper Michigan, and Iowa. Its 16,000-strong workforce includes more than 1,500 clinicians. The network aims to transform healthcare locally and nationally, helping people live their best lives at every stage.
The gold-level certification confirms Emplify Health's dedication to employee and family support. With its annual nonprofit contributions and expanded benefits, the organisation continues to strengthen its role as a community-focused healthcare leader. The recognition also sets a benchmark for other large employers in the region.
