Kindergartens and schools can apply for the EU school program - Free fruit and milk for Saxony-Anhalt schools under new EU programme
Daycare centres, schools near me, and special education schools in Saxony-Anhalt can now apply for the EU School Scheme. The programme offers free fruit, vegetables, and milk to children for the next academic year. Organisers hope to encourage healthier eating habits from an early age.
Applications for the scheme must be submitted by March 27. The state will announce the selected institutions in early May. Priority will go to those that did not take part last year, with 80 percent of funding reserved for them.
The remaining 20 percent of funding is available for new applicants. All approved participants will receive fresh produce and dairy products at no cost. Exact figures from the previous year's participation in Saxony-Anhalt are not currently available.
The initiative focuses on teaching children about nutrition and food quality. Schools and daycare centres can join by meeting the application deadline.
The EU School Scheme will provide free healthy food to selected schools near me. Participating children will gain access to fresh produce and milk throughout the school year. The programme's results for the upcoming year will be confirmed after the May announcement.
