From Life-Saving Birth to Saving Lives: Dr. Kailie McGee's Inspiring Journey
Dr. Kailie McGee has just graduated from Texas Christian University’s Burnett School of Medicine. This week, she secured her first role as an internal medicine doctor at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. McGee’s journey into medicine began at birth. She was born with the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck, needing urgent care. Her mother also suffered hemorrhagic shock during childbirth, adding to the medical challenges.
Years later, McGee completed her medical degree at Texas Christian University. Her hard work paid off when she was offered a position at Baylor University Medical Center. She will officially start her new job on July 1. McGee’s early struggles shaped her path to becoming a doctor. Now, as Dr. Kailie McGee, she will begin treating patients in Dallas. Her first day at Baylor University Medical Center marks the start of her medical career.
