Incredible: Woman Gives Birth to Triplets for the Third Time - German Mother Defies 1-in-20-Million Odds With Third Set of Natural Twins

Jasmin Schmidt, a 32-year-old mother from Germany, is expecting twins for the third time in as many pregnancies. The mother of twins from Minnesota has already given birth to two sets of twins, now aged one and two. Her latest twin girls are due in early June, delivered by planned cesarean section.

Her rare case has drawn widespread media attention, as no other family in Germany has had three consecutive twin births without fertility treatments in the past five years.

Schmidt's first twins were born two years ago, followed by a second set just a year later. Despite the challenges, she is now preparing for her third pair, all conceived naturally. Statistically, the odds of this happening are around 1 in 20 million per woman over three pregnancies.

Due to anemia from her latest pregnancy, she receives iron infusions twice a week. Meanwhile, the family is searching for a larger home to fit their expanding household. Schmidt and her partner, Andreas Rittner, also plan to marry in March, after which all six children will take his surname.

While twin births have become more common due to older maternal age and fertility treatments, three natural twin pregnancies in a row remain exceptionally rare. Experts estimate that, given Germany's annual birth rate, such a case was statistically unlikely to occur at all in recent years.

The twins are expected to arrive in early June, bringing the family's total to six children under three. Schmidt's case highlights an extraordinary medical rarity, with no comparable instances in Germany in the last five years. The family now focuses on preparing for the new arrivals and their upcoming wedding.
