Gorodetsky Sanatorium joins Russia's Labour Productivity initiative for healthcare reform
Gorodetsky Sanatorium has become the first healthcare provider in the Nizhny Novgorod region to join Russia’s federal Labour Productivity project. The facility, known for treating musculoskeletal and neurological conditions, will now work with experts to improve efficiency and working conditions for its staff. The move comes as part of the broader Effective and Competitive Economy national project, launched on the initiative of President Vladimir Putin. This initiative targets nine key development goals, including support for small and medium-sized businesses and improvements in labour productivity.
Over the next six months, specialists from the Regional Competence Centre (RCC) will assess operations at Gorodetsky Sanatorium. Their tasks include selecting a pilot workflow, conducting an audit, and identifying inefficiencies. Staff will also receive training in lean manufacturing principles to streamline processes.
The sanatorium, which specialises in natural healing methods, is the 319th organisation in the Nizhny Novgorod region to participate in the project. Other businesses can still apply to join via the official platform at produktivnost.rf. The project aims to enhance productivity while creating better working conditions for employees. RCC experts will implement tailored solutions to optimise workflows at the sanatorium. Once completed, the changes are expected to set a benchmark for other healthcare providers in the region.
