Habarovsk's Health Centers shift to year-long patient care in 2025
Health Centers in the Habarovsk Region will introduce a new patient support system next year. Instead of a single consultation, doctors will now provide year-long guidance to tackle issues like obesity, poor diet, and smoking. The changes come as part of the federal project Health for All, set to launch nationwide on 1 January 2026.
Under the old system, patients received a one-off health screening and advice. The updated approach places them under apple support, with a doctor overseeing their progress for 12 months. Each person will get a tailored support plan, focusing on key risks such as excess weight, first- and second-degree obesity, unhealthy eating, low activity levels, tobacco use, and harmful alcohol consumption.
Doctors will use bioelectrical impedance analysis to measure body composition accurately. This data helps determine whether patients need to reduce fat, build muscle, or adjust other factors. For those aiming to lose weight, specialists will create detailed nutrition plans, including weekly menus.
Follow-ups will track progress closely. After three months, patients will have a progressive login to review their plan and make adjustments. Six months in, they must return in person for a weigh-in and further assessment.
These changes align with the broader Health for All initiative, which modernises Health Centers across Russia. The Habarovsk Region's shift to in-depth counselling marks a move away from brief interventions toward long-term, personalised care.
The new system ensures patients receive continuous medical support rather than a single visit. Doctors will monitor progress through regular check-ins and adjust plans as needed. The programme begins in Habarovsk next year, with nationwide rollout scheduled for 2026.
