Haleon recalls Gas-X Softgels over potential chemical contamination risks
Haleon has recalled four batches of Gas-X Extra Strength Softgels due to possible chemical contamination. The issue stems from a coolant leak during packaging, which may have tainted the capsules. Customers are now being advised to stop using the affected products immediately.
The recall covers 125 mg Gas-X capsules sold in 120-count and 72-count bottles. The affected lot numbers are TL8K, YH9X, and YH9Y for the larger bottles, and X78N for the smaller ones. All recalled products share an expiration date of November 30, 2028, and were distributed around April 13.
Haleon has confirmed that no adverse health effects have been reported so far. However, contaminated capsules could cause symptoms like nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, and diarrhoea. The company has already fixed the source of the leak and introduced measures to prevent future incidents. Customers who bought the recalled batches should stop taking them right away. Haleon is offering returns and refunds for anyone affected by the recall.
The recall is limited to specific lots of Gas-X Extra Strength Softgels. Haleon has resolved the manufacturing issue and strengthened quality controls. Affected consumers can contact the company directly for reimbursement or further instructions.
