Halle's Children's Safety Day Teaches Kids Lifesaving Skills Through Play

St. Elisabeth and St. Barbara Hospital in Halle (Saale) is hosting a Children’s Safety Day on Wednesday, June 10, 2026. The event will run from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the hospital’s location on Mauerstraße 5. Families, parents, and children are all welcome to attend the interactive sessions and activities planned for the day. The event will focus on teaching safety, health, and prevention through hands-on experiences. Exhibits will cover topics like poisoning prevention, protection against viruses and bacteria, and digital safety for young children. Visitors can also take part in activities that help them recognise and avoid everyday hazards.

A virtual kitchen tour will give children a chance to explore potential dangers from their own perspective. The hospital’s mascot, Fakuta, will be on hand to greet guests as they arrive. For a more active experience, a wheelchair rally will let children test their mobility skills. Emergency response teams will also participate in demonstrations. The DLRG canine rescue team, an ASB ambulance crew, and the Lieskau Volunteer Fire Department’s youth fire brigade will showcase their work. Interactive stations and information booths will provide practical advice for staying safe in different situations.

The Children’s Safety Day aims to educate families through engaging activities and expert demonstrations. The event will offer practical knowledge on avoiding risks at home and in daily life. All sessions and exhibits are designed to be both informative and fun for young attendees.
