A meeting on crime prevention took place in Kiyakty village, located in Aiteke Bi District. Local authorities, police officers, and residents gathered to discuss ways of maintaining safety and public order. The village, home to 62 households and 207 people, has reported no crimes or administrative offences in the past five years. During the session, participants reviewed the village’s long-standing record of zero offences. Police credited this achievement to the residents’ unity, their proactive approach to community issues, and ongoing preventive work. A key topic was the ban on alcohol sales and consumption, which villagers had unanimously supported.
The meeting also highlighted the positive effects of the alcohol-free policy. Since its introduction, domestic disputes and minor offences have dropped, while public order and safety have improved. Kiyakty is one of 40 settlements in the region that have adopted similar measures to promote healthier lifestyles. Officers encouraged residents to keep fostering mutual respect, lawfulness, and a sense of shared responsibility. Discussions further covered strategies for sustaining a stable social environment and preventing future incidents.
The gathering reinforced Kiyakty’s commitment to its alcohol-free status and crime prevention efforts. With no recorded offences in years, the village serves as an example of how community cooperation can enhance safety. Police and local leaders will continue working together to uphold these standards.
