Kazakhstan unveils new healthcare and creativity hubs for communities

Two new community facilities have opened in Kazakhstan, offering improved healthcare and educational opportunities. On May 30, Kengir welcomed a feldsher-obstetric station, while Jezkazgan celebrated the launch of the Shabyt Children’s Creativity Center on June 1. Both projects aim to serve local residents with modern resources and services. The feldsher-obstetric station in Kengir was officially unveiled on May 30. Equipped with up-to-date medical tools, the clinic will provide primary healthcare to the community. A general practitioner, nurses, and additional medical staff will run the facility, ensuring residents have access to essential services.

In Jezkazgan, the Shabyt Children’s Creativity Center opened its doors on June 1. The 2,600-square-meter building was built with support from the Bulat Utemuratov Foundation. It offers free after-school programmes in art, pottery, early childhood development, martial arts, and STEM subjects. The center’s grounds include sports areas and playgrounds, all designed with inclusive, barrier-free access. Inside, a dedicated STEM block features labs for mathematics, natural sciences, chess, and robotics. Up to 250 children can use the facilities at once, with a rotating schedule allowing around 600 to attend daily. Meanwhile, in Koskol, a new outdoor calisthenics park has been completed. The fully equipped space is now available for regular sports activities, adding to the region’s recreational options.

The new feldsher-obstetric station in Kengir will improve local healthcare access, while the Shabyt Children’s Creativity Center in Jezkazgan provides free educational and recreational programmes. The Koskol calisthenics park further expands sports facilities for the community. All three projects reflect ongoing efforts to enhance public services in the region.
