Krefeld Launches Prenatal Yoga Course for Expectant Mothers in April
A new prenatal yoga course is set to begin in Krefeld on April 14. Organised by the Red Cross Family Education Center, the programme aims to support expectant mothers through physical and mental changes during pregnancy. Classes will focus on gentle movement, body awareness, and easing common discomforts.
The course runs for 13 weekly sessions, each held on Tuesdays from 9 to 10 a.m. Meetings take place at the Red Cross district office Burchartzhof, located at Uerdinger Straße 609, close to Bockumer Platz. The venue provides easy access for participants using public transport.
Prenatal yoga is designed to build strength, release tension, and boost energy levels. Exercises also help women connect with their changing bodies and manage fears or stress. The programme costs €110.50 in total. Beginners can join from the 13th week of pregnancy, while those with prior yoga experience may start at any stage. However, all participants are advised to check with their gynaecologist about any movement restrictions before attending. As of March 23, 2026, the number of registered participants has not been made public by the organisers.
The course offers a structured way for pregnant women to stay active and prepare for childbirth. Registration remains open, with classes starting in mid-April at the Red Cross centre. Further details can be obtained directly from the Family Education Center in Krefeld.
