A lively health festival filled Magadan Region with energy from January to May 2026. The event, titled Movement and Health, brought together students, educators, and sports enthusiasts for an active celebration. Dance performances, team games, and creative projects marked the occasion as both fun and purposeful. The regional marathon aimed to support students with intellectual disabilities through innovative school projects. Teams were tasked with presenting five health-focused initiatives for evaluation by a panel of experts. Judges came from organisations like the Arctic Research Center and the Magadan Region Department of Physical Culture and Sports.
Magadan Regional Education Center No. 2 showcased a variety of activities, including exercise breaks, morning workouts, and a sports and dance flash mob. Meanwhile, the *Strength and Health in Russia’s Unity* event featured traditional games from different parts of the country. Later, educators and students from the Magadan Regional Boarding School delivered their own presentations as part of the marathon’s programme. The festival’s highlight was an energetic outdoor event called *Movement Means Health!*. It combined team competitions with a vibrant dance performance, reinforcing the marathon’s message of inclusivity and well-being.
The marathon wrapped up after months of activities designed to promote health and creativity. Schools across the region shared practical ideas for supporting students with disabilities. Organisers confirmed that the event’s mix of sports, culture, and teamwork left a lasting impact on participants.
