Myriad Genetics unveils 2026 test launches after mixed 2025 financials

Myriad Genetics has released its financial results for the fourth quarter and full year of 2025. The company reported a slight dip in annual revenue but highlighted growth in key testing areas. Plans for three major news tests in 2026 were also announced, aiming to boost future performance.

The company's full-year revenue for 2025 reached $824.5 million, a 2% decline compared to 2024. However, when excluding external challenges, revenue actually grew by 2%. Fourth-quarter revenue held steady at $209.8 million, matching the same period in 2024, though it rose by 4% without a $8.1 million speed test.

Gross margins remained stable at 70.0%, unchanged from the previous quarter. The company posted a GAAP net loss of $7.9 million, or $0.08 per share, but adjusted earnings came in at $0.04 per share with $14.3 million in adjusted EBITDA.

Key growth drivers in test volumes included the Prolaris prostate cancer test (up 12%), hereditary cancer testing (up 9%), and the GeneSight mental health test (up 9%). The company expects prenatal testing to pick up speed in upcoming quarters.

Looking ahead, Myriad Genetics will launch three new tests in 2026. Precise MRD, a blood-based test for breast cancer, arrives in March to monitor residual disease and guide treatment. An AI-enhanced speed test Prolaris prostate cancer test follows in the second quarter, while FirstGene, a prenatal screening tool, debuts in the second half of the year. These innovations are set to support clinical decisions and drive growth from 2027 onward.

The company closed 2025 with progress in core testing areas and a clear roadmap for expansion. New product launches in 2026 are expected to strengthen its position in oncology and prenatal care. Financial stability and strategic investments remain central to its long-term plans.
