New hospice volunteer training launches in Wuppertal this January

A new hospice volunteer training seminar will start in January 2022 at the Caritas Association in Wuppertal/Solingen. The programme is open to residents from Wuppertal, Solingen, and the surrounding Berg region who want to support end-of-life care. The seminar runs for six months, covering 120 hours of instruction before concluding in June 2022. It begins with a foundational course, followed by two specialised modules: one focused on paediatric and adolescent hospice care, the other on adult support.

An information session about the course structure and content will take place on October 27, 2021, at 6:00 PM. The meeting will be held at the Caritas International Meeting Center, located at Hünefeldstraße 54a, 42285 Wuppertal.

The training offers a structured path for those interested in hospice volunteering. Participants will complete the programme by mid-2022, gaining skills in both youth and adult end-of-life care. Registration details and further information will be provided at the October session.
