She had to have her uterus removed - Nicole Eggert undergoes hysterectomy after new cancer signs detected
Nicole Eggert, the 54-year-old Baywatch actress, has undergone a hysterectomy after tests revealed early signs of further cancer. The procedure follows years of health struggles since her initial breast cancer diagnosis in late 2023. She shared the update with fans on her Instagram account.
Eggert first announced her breast cancer diagnosis in January 2024, though she had been diagnosed with stage 2 cribriform carcinoma in December 2023. By July 2024, chemotherapy had successfully eliminated all traces of the disease. A mastectomy in October 2024 confirmed clear pathology, and she later had reconstructive surgery in August 2025.
However, by March 2026, new tests detected early signs of additional malignancies. Doctors recommended a total hysterectomy, which Eggert underwent around March 18-19, 2026. The procedure removes the risk of at least seven different cancer types.
Eggert has previously linked her cancer to breast implants received during her time on Baywatch. Despite multiple surgeries and treatments, her health challenges have continued to escalate.
The hysterectomy marks another major step in Eggert's ongoing battle with cancer. Her medical team has taken preventive action to reduce future risks. The actress remains open about her health journey, keeping supporters informed through social media updates.
