Pepper Spray Attack at Gym Leaves 15 Injured, Suspect Arrested

A 25-year-old man attacked his ex-partner with pepper spray inside a fitness studio in the Bahnhofsvorstadt district. The incident left 15 people injured, with one woman needing hospital care. Police have since arrested the suspect on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. The confrontation started as an argument between the man and his 25-year-old ex-partner at the gym on An der Weide street. During the dispute, he pulled out a can of pepper spray and targeted her face. The irritant quickly spread through the room, causing breathing problems and eye irritation for 15 people.

Police officers nearby spotted the suspect as he fled the scene. He briefly escaped but later returned to the area on his bicycle. Authorities arrested him a short distance from the gym. An investigation into the attack is now underway. The suspect faces charges of grievous bodily harm. One woman remains in hospital, while the others received treatment for their injuries.
