Ranveer Singh's SuperYou raises funds to fight India's protein crisis

Bollywood star Ranveer Singh’s health food brand, SuperYou, has secured fresh funding to tackle India’s protein deficiency. The company, co-founded with entrepreneur Nikunj Biyani, recently launched the country’s first Protein Wafer Bars. Within two days of release, the product sold 2.5 lakh units on platforms like Zepto and Blinkit. SuperYou aims to address a pressing issue: 73% of Indians consume insufficient protein. Its flagship Protein Wafer Bars offer a convenient, nutritious solution, now stocked across e-commerce sites, quick-commerce apps, and retail outlets.

The brand has attracted investment from Zerodha’s Rainmatter, the VC arm led by Nithin and Nikhil Kamath. This partnership will help SuperYou expand operations, with plans to inject Rs 40-50 crore into scaling up. The goal is to hit Rs 500 crore in revenue over the next five years. More protein-rich products are already in development. The company intends to broaden its presence in India’s health food sector, making affordable nutrition more accessible.

SuperYou’s rapid sales and high-profile backing signal strong momentum. The brand’s focus on affordable, protein-packed foods aligns with India’s nutritional needs. With further expansion and new products on the horizon, its market reach is set to grow.
