Regensburg Goes Fit returns in 2026 with expanded free workouts for all
Regensburg’s popular free fitness programme, Regensburg Goes Fit, will return in summer 2026. The initiative offers outdoor workouts for all ages and fitness levels, with no registration needed. This year’s edition includes new activities and expanded locations to encourage wider participation. The programme kicks off on June 7, 2026, at Oberer Wörth, running every Sunday until July 26. Each evening begins at 6:00 PM with High-Intensity Training led by Chris Siebert, followed by a yoga session with Jürgen Feigl at 7:00 PM. New for this year is Cross Athletics, hosted by trainer Lukas Baumann, starting each Sunday at 5:00 PM.
Bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) measurements to check body fat percentage will be available on June 7 and July 19. Participants can track their progress throughout the eight-week programme, which concludes with a small awards ceremony on July 26 for those who show the most improvement. Burgweinting Goes Fit will also return, offering daily sessions from June 11 to July 30 at 6:00 PM. If bad weather strikes, sessions will move indoors to RT Hall, the multi-purpose hall, or Otto Schwerdt Middle School’s gymnasium. As with previous years, all activities remain free and open to everyone. No sign-up is required, making it easy for newcomers to join at any time.
The 2026 programme expands access with more sessions and locations. Participants can enjoy structured workouts, health checks, and recognition for their efforts. The final awards ceremony on July 26 will mark the end of another summer of free fitness in Regensburg.
