Regional Medical Center's Gala Raises £20,000 for Surgical Expansion

Regional Medical Center’s annual Gratitude Gala has raised over £20,000 for a major expansion of its surgical services. The event took place on 17 April at Rustic Creek in Hopkinton. Donations will fund a new 18,400 square foot surgical wing in Manchester. The gala brought together donors, sponsors, and volunteers to support the hospital’s growth. Valerie Lindsay, manager of volunteer services and fund development, thanked everyone for their contributions. She highlighted the importance of community backing in making the project possible.

The new surgical addition will include larger pre-op and post-op areas to improve patient privacy and recovery. Spacious operating suites will meet modern standards and accommodate advanced equipment, including robotic systems. The infrastructure is designed to house the latest life-saving technology, ensuring high-quality care for years to come.

Cheques can also be mailed to Regional Medical Center, PO Box 359, Manchester, IA 52057. The funds will directly support the construction of the 18,400 square foot surgical wing. Once complete, the facility will offer enhanced surgical care with modern equipment and improved patient comfort. The hospital continues to rely on community support to advance its medical services.
