Rhön Region Expands Mobile Blood Donation Drives in Early June

The Institute for Transfusion Medicine Suhl (ITMS), a nonprofit organisation, is ramping up its mobile blood donation efforts in early June. Teams will visit multiple locations across the Rhön region during week 23 of the year, offering residents convenient opportunities to donate. The schedule begins on Monday, June 1, 2026, at Oechsen Primary School, where donations will be accepted from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM. The following day, Tuesday, June 2, the team moves to Merkers Sports Hall, operating from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

On Thursday, June 4, the mobile unit will set up at Bettenhausen Cultural Center between 4:30 PM and 7:30 PM. The week concludes with two stops on Friday, June 5: first at Oepfershausen’s Schloss Municipal Administration from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM, then later at Stadtlengsfeld’s Feldatal Hall from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM. ITMS regularly deploys teams to up to eight different donation drives each day, ensuring broad coverage across communities.

Residents in the Rhön area will have multiple chances to donate blood during the first week of June. The ITMS mobile units will provide extended evening hours at each location, making it easier for working individuals to participate.
