Snooki reveals stage one cervical cancer diagnosis and urges women to get checked
Reality TV star Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi has revealed a stage one cervical cancer diagnosis. The former Jersey Shore breakout shared the news while urging women to prioritise regular health checks. Known for her long career in television, she has since focused on family life with her husband and three children in New Jersey.
Polizzi first rose to fame in 2009 as a standout cast member of Jersey Shore. After the show ended in 2015, she continued in entertainment with spin-offs like Snooki & Jwoww: Moms With Attitude (2015–2017) and Nicole & Jionni's Shore Flip (2016). She also competed on The New Celebrity Apprentice and later appeared on Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.
In her personal life, she married Jionni LaValle in New Jersey on 29 November 2014. The couple have three children: Lorenzo (born 2012), Giovanna (2014), and Angelo (2019). Polizzi eventually stepped back from reality TV to focus on her family.
Now, following her diagnosis, she is expected to undergo initial treatment before likely having a hysterectomy. Publicly, she has emphasised the importance of Pap smears, encouraging her followers to stay vigilant about their health.
The early-stage diagnosis means Polizzi's outlook remains positive. Doctors have recommended a hysterectomy as part of her treatment plan. Her public call for regular screenings highlights the need for early detection in cervical cancer cases.
