A charity 5K run and walk will take place at Spring Canyon Park on Sunday, May 17. The Healing Warriors Program 5K supports a nonprofit offering free, non-narcotic wellness treatments for Veterans and their families. Participants of all ages and fitness levels are welcome to join. The event kicks off at 10 a.m., with check-in and activities starting an hour earlier. Runners can compete for time or simply walk through the park at their own pace. Families, pets, and people of all abilities are encouraged to take part.
Tickets cost between $25 and $40. Registered participants will receive a branded race shirt and a goody bag. Snacks, food, music, and community activities will also be available throughout the morning. Funds raised will go to the Healing Warriors Program, which provides free services like acupuncture, Healing Touch therapy, and craniosacral therapy. In 2025, clients reported major improvements, including a 61% drop in anxiety, a 57% reduction in emotional discomfort, and a 55% decrease in pain.
The race offers a chance to support Veterans while enjoying a day of fitness and community. All proceeds will help expand no-cost wellness care for those who have served. Organisers hope for strong attendance to boost the program’s impact.
