Survivor Speaks Out After Losing Eye in Brutal Domestic Attack

A woman who lost her right eye after a brutal attack by her former partner has spoken out about her ordeal. Oksana B. appeared on Pust Govoryat, a popular talk show on Channel One, to share her story and raise awareness about domestic violence. Oksana B. suffered severe injuries at the hands of Nikolai A., her ex-partner. He broke into her apartment, assaulted her, and left her with a broken arm and rib. The attack escalated when he struck her in the face with a wrench, causing her to lose sight in one eye.

The abuse did not happen overnight. Nikolai A. had systematically isolated Oksana B. from her friends and family over time. This control was part of a pattern that ultimately led to the violent assault. Since the attack, Oksana B. has undergone multiple surgeries to reconstruct the bone structure around her eye socket. She still requires further treatment, including the fitting of an ocular prosthesis. Meanwhile, Nikolai A. has been detained and placed in pretrial detention. Despite her ongoing recovery, Oksana B. has dedicated herself to helping others trapped in toxic, violent relationships.
