Yakutsk's Peace! May! GTO! Festival Challenges Fitness Enthusiasts in 2026

The Republican Festival Peace! May! GTO! will take place in Yakutsk from May 29 to 31, 2026. Organised by the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Trade Union Federation, the event invites residents to test their fitness under Russia’s GTO physical standards. Participation is open to civil servants, students, and members of public organisations.

The festival is part of the federal project Sport—A Way of Life and aligns with the Year of National Unity in Russia and the Year of Culture in Yakutia. Three venues across Yakutsk will host the event, where attendees can earn GTO distinction badges.

To join, applicants must submit an entry form to *[email protected]* by May 20, 2026. On the event day, participants need to bring a completed application, ID, and a medical certificate (Form No. 134n). Those without the certificate will not be admitted. The testing program details are available on the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Trade Union Federation’s website. The festival aims to promote healthy lifestyles and physical fitness among the region’s residents.

The event brings together the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports, the Ministry of Education and Science, and the Trade Union Federation. Successful participants will receive GTO badges, recognising their fitness achievements. The deadline for registration remains May 20, 2026.
