Yuva-Connect event unites students for India's Viksit Bharat 2047 healthcare vision

A recent 'Yuva-Connect' event at Sri Aurobindo Medical College brought students together under the Viksit Bharat 2047 mission. The programme aimed to inspire young leaders while strengthening healthcare, education, and research across India. Participants discussed ways to help India become a developed nation by its 100th year of independence. The event, part of the Central Government's Viksit Bharat 2047 initiative, focused on key healthcare improvements. Free health check-ups were offered through the Nirogi Kaya Abhiyan, which screens and treats non-communicable diseases. Telemedicine services are also expanding, with the National Medical College Network linking medical colleges to district hospitals for better remote care.

Biomedical research received a boost through dedicated programmes, including support for indigenous vaccine development. Dr Jayashree Tapadiya, Dean of Student Welfare, urged students to take initiative and build leadership skills for community and national progress. Discussions centred on how young people could contribute to India's growth over the next 25 years. The programme highlighted efforts to modernise healthcare infrastructure and medical education. With expanded telemedicine, free health screenings, and research support, the mission aims to create a stronger health system. Students were encouraged to play an active role in shaping India's future.
