ZeroHarm Sciences Raises ₹65 Cr to Fuel Global Expansion in Plant-Based Supplements
Hyderabad-based nutrition startup ZeroHarm Sciences has secured ₹65 Cr ($7.2 Mn) in its latest funding round. The investment comes as the company looks to expand its reach in India and enter international markets. Founded in 2020, the startup specialises in plant-based health supplements backed by proprietary nano-formulation technology.
The funding was led by Kotak Alternate Asset Managers Limited, which contributed ₹40 Cr through its Kotak Life Sciences Fund I. Alkemi Growth Capital added ₹25 Cr to the round. These funds will support ZeroHarm's plans to grow its brand across India, launch in the US, UK, and Middle East, and boost research and manufacturing capabilities.
ZeroHarm Sciences controls every stage of production, from sourcing medicinal plants to in-house R&D and GMP-certified manufacturing. Its product range includes over 60 supplements covering diabetes management, heart health, joint care, immunity, and oncology support. The company claims to have served more than 3 lakh customers since its launch.
The startup's workforce has grown from five founders in 2020 to around 45 employees today. This expansion follows earlier funding rounds in 2021 and 2023, which helped scale operations. ZeroHarm also plans to build a 'Trust over Promise' platform, using measurable health outcomes to prove the effectiveness of its supplements.
India's nutraceutical market is expanding rapidly, driven by increasing health awareness and demand for preventive care. ZeroHarm's latest investment aligns with this trend, positioning the company for further growth in a competitive sector.
The fresh capital will enable ZeroHarm Sciences to strengthen its market presence and accelerate international expansion. With a focus on research, manufacturing, and measurable health results, the startup aims to solidify its position in the plant-based supplement industry. The company's growth reflects broader trends in India's booming nutraceutical sector.
