Zwergenhaus Daycare Joins AOK's Three-Year Healthy Lifestyle Program for Kids

Zwergenhaus daycare centre has been chosen to take part in the JolinchenKids – Fit and Healthy in Daycare program. Run by health insurer AOK, the initiative teaches young children the basics of a healthy lifestyle. The three-year project will officially begin at the centre’s spring festival on May 8, 2026. The JolinchenKids program covers five key areas: nutrition, exercise, emotional health, parental involvement, and support for educators. AOK will provide training materials and expert advice to help the daycare implement each module. Both staff and families will take an active role in shaping the project over its three-year duration.

Stella Petruch, director of Zwergenhaus, expressed her enthusiasm about the centre’s selection. The launch event coincides with the daycare’s spring festival, starting at 2:30 PM. AOK’s initiative aims to encourage long-term healthy habits among children, parents, and educators alike.

The program will run until 2029, with ongoing support from AOK. Educators and families will work together to embed healthy routines into daily daycare life. The spring festival on May 8 marks the first step in this three-year health promotion effort.
