Caritas Fürth's nursing service moves to a modern Südstadt hub
Caritas Fürth’s home nursing service has relocated to a new site at 108 Karolinenstraße. The move marks the first local outreach centre for outpatient care in the Südstadt district. The updated premises aim to improve support for both staff and clients. The new location offers a bright, modern, and fully accessible space. Its design ensures easy entry for older people and those with mobility challenges. Nearby public transport links also make the site more convenient for visitors and employees.
Caritas invested around €30,000 to adapt the building for its needs. AEG/Electrolux contributed kitchen appliances, while the Hans-Fäßler-Caritas-Fürth Foundation provided initial funding. Hans Fäßler, the organisation’s longtime chairman, personally donated €3,000 on his 80th birthday to support the project. The facility includes ample parking, which will help the home care team led by Yao Qi and Olga Touretskaja. Improved workflows are expected, allowing staff to manage visits and care more efficiently. The relocation also strengthens Caritas’ presence in Südstadt, joining existing services like the Coordinated Neighborhood Network and the 'Zeppelin12' secondhand clothing store.
The updated care station now serves as a central hub for outpatient services in Südstadt. Its modern features and better accessibility are set to enhance daily operations. The project reflects Caritas’ ongoing commitment to expanding local support for those in need.
